FP McCann Ltd has registered the site with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, and proudly supports the founding principles of this scheme. Through the scheme, FP McCann aims to improve the image of the construction industry by caring about appearance, respecting the community, protecting the environment, securing everyone’s safety and valuing their workforce. As part of this scheme they would like to encourage feedback from the community including suggestions on how they can improve their operations and interaction with the community.
Progress this month:
Paving works completed at Market Cross traffic island.
Civils and paving works are completed on both sides of South St and also leading onto Court St and Court St Upper.
Civils works commenced on Castle Place east footway and are now completed.
Paving works have commenced on the east footway and are completed from Movilla St to Car Park Pedestrian Entrance at the Baptist Church Hall.
Civils works are underway on the west footway of Castle Place starting at the end of High St.
All major civils and paving works are now completed on the south footway of Frances Street.
Civils and paving works have been completed at the traffic island at the top of Castle Place.
Civils and paving works have been completed on the north side of Frances St from the scheme extent to Prices Lane
Street Lighting Works
Majority of new lighting columns and lanterns have now been erected throughout the town.
Rear of Town Hall
Civils and paving works have just commenced at the rear of the Town Hall. This area will include installing of new granite wall to the existing planter areas and installing of new light columns.
Civils and paving works will continue on the north footway from Prices Lane to Ann St and will continue on towards Regent St.
Paving works will continue on the east footway to complete.
Civils work will continue on the west footway starting at High St working towards Frances St and paving works to follow.
Civils and paving works will also be carried out to the footway at Dales Carpets to the Parlour.
The removal of the existing street light poles is due to commence on Regent St south, Gibsons Lane, Mill St, South St and High St south in the coming weeks.
We are now coming up on a year since Conway Square was completed and re-opened to the public and Market traders.

FP McCann will continue to liaise with all the businesses and residents within the footprint of the scheme to minimise disruption during the period of the scheme. Those affected will be contacted directly by the Contractor prior to works commencing.
